2023 Book Project Math Fiction

The Creative Arts Foundation of Canada (CAFC), in collaboration with TD Bank and Paramount Study, is proud to present Math Fiction, an innovative national initiative designed to promote math literacy by making arithmetic both accessible and engaging for young learners. This exciting project brings together a talented group of young writers who have created an anthology of short stories that creatively incorporate a variety of mathematical concepts in fun and imaginative ways.

We are currently seeking a grant to translate Math Fiction into French and broaden its reach, making this valuable resource available to even more students across Canada.

The book is now available here !

Workshops

CAFC created workshops to help you come up with ideas for the ”Math Fiction” competition. Students can contact CAFC by email to book a math workshop. The workshops aim at teaching children aged 5 to 12 years about math in a fun and engaging manner that will instill in them a love of mathematics for life.

Hope this will help you!

CAFC Vice President Kirill Fessenko presents the new math fiction book.

As the driving force behind the project, he has been instrumental in making it engaging, accessible, and enjoyable for readers.

The book is available online on amazon.

Will James, one of our directors, is a teacher at the English Montreal School Board.

He helped us promote the Math Fiction Project in various schools and present the project to parents and children  during the Annual General Meeting Mensa in Montreal in 2023.
