The Multicultural project "Khonga Kaft in Montreal"
he Multicultural project “Khonga Kaft in Montreal” is a short film that arranges a meeting of two very different cultures that have little awareness of each other’s existence. Around the city of Montreal grow the high mountains of the Caucasus, while in the heart of Montreal, a traditional dance of the Caucasus – Khonga Kaft – is danced. Landscapes of Montreal will be drawn in animated watercolor, while the dance itself will be filmed in live-action, choreographed in an iconic Montreal setting that will soon disappear: The Turcot Interchange.
